OK, I know everyone has been beaten over the head with Goljan (or at least from what I've seen in the forum), but I did have a question...one of my friends wanted to know how many different types of Step 1 Goljan materials there are--apparently she ran across one that takes 40 days and one that takes 5 (I think?). Anyway, I told her I am only familiar with his pathology review stuff...could someone please list the different types of review materials by Goljan available for Step 1 review (audio and/or print)? Also (if you have used it/heard about it)...how you feel about the material's ability to prepare an MS2 for Step 1? Thanks 🙂

that's a very good question...i'm quite confused as well. I borrowed a CD from a friend that had Goljan stuff on it including some audio (i'm pretty sure this is not a legal copy) and in the first couple minutes he mentions his high-yield includes everything but behavior science stuff. that's as far as i've gotten...maybe someone can fill us both in. the obviously scanned pages say 2002.
that's about all i know,

I don't know about he 40-day lecture, but check out the response i gave under the "goljan 100 page notes thread", it outlines the material that i've seen available on the web. i can speculate that since he's put out so many books, that the might be doing his own thing, but for know, im pretty sure he still teaches for kaplan.

Goljan is our professor at pathology here at ok state. In addition to the pathology material, he is the series editor for the rapid review series by elseveir (or however or you spell it). The rapid review path book is pretty much the notes that he gives us in class except that it is shorter version. The questions on the CD that comes with the book are also great. THe other book authored by Goljan that I would highly recommend is the rapid review biochem. He ties in a lot of path concepts in that book and it is an easy read.
