Lately I think I have enjoyed observing the interactions of people on this site more than anything else. People come to this site for many reasons-these are the ones I have noticed the most.
1. Actually wants to learn about dentistry/getting into school.
2. Likes to show off their accomplishments.
3. Likes to invent accomplishments to show off.
4. Fishing for compliments.
5. Wants to help others that are newer to the game.
6. Enjoys picking fights

What do you guys think, any other reasons?

since im already in d-school...i still visit the site to help the pre-dents cuz i enjoy this ****...id say im pretty active in pre-dent association as a dental student

id like the field of dentistry to grow and prosper to benefit u and me!
plus...who gives a crap what others online think of others phony accomplisments or their real ones...its ur dental career and ur life

i agree that many people come to this forum to learn about dentistry and application process and there are people out there who are kind enough to take out their time to help.

i do think there are people on this forum who are just mean and put others down when they are already feeling at their worse.

Good call. I guess it all comes from my undergrad in psychology. Or should I say, it all starte when I was a child competing with my same sex parent for the affection of my opposite sex parent...
