typical quarter at ucla

hey, this is for current first years at ucla....and this may help all my ucla homies. I am wondering how a typical quarter goes in terms of quizzes, midterms, and class time. I understand that it starts at 8 and ends at 5, but is that typical everyday for the first year? Anyone want to shed any light on this, I will greatly appreciate. Thanks a lot everyone.

Check out the 1st year schedule online. You can check out the other quarters if you look back to 2006. There will be a week of midterms & a week of finals. Quizzes will be up to the course director. Get used to the 8 am to 5 pm or later schedule.
