I've started typing up to 110 wpm while at my part time job. Would this be considered an advantage in pharmacy?

What type of data entry is involved in retail pharmacy? And in what ways do computers help out? ... I'm wondering if typing skills may aid in a high volume pharmacy.

Most pharmacists don't type out prescriptions on a regular basis. For a tech it certainly helps to be proficient. But, your time constraint will be mostly limited by your ability to read what is written on the prescription pad. 🙂

Just being comfortable using a computer is beneficial for both positions.

fast typers of the world unite! I was a relay operator for the deaf & hard of hearing for 2 years - my best typing score (we were tested monthly) was 126wpm with a 96% accuracy.

Not sure if it helps anything but I always put 110+wpm on resumes/applications.

CSD in Tucson, AZ. I'm down to around 100 but if I worked at it I could get back up to par. That job sure makes you look at the deaf community differently doesn't it? Were you there for all the SRO Fraud stuff? That was a good time to work graveyard. F5.
