For those familiar with Colorado admissions, is it even worth applying from the Northeast with a below average GPA (3.5)? I know that they accept some out of state residents but mainly from the surrounding states. Thanks for any info.

The cost is something like 70,000 dollars for out of state so keep that in mind.

I know, it costs around 70K for the first year. Then you are considered a resident and the tuition drops significantly.
I'm still interested because of some personal circumstances.

When I attended my interview they stated that the averages were MCAT=31 and GPA=3.69. Therefore, I assume they expect out-of-state applicants to fall closer to the averages or above. However, they are unique in their review process in that first a committee evaluates your GPA, MCAT and a few other items to decide if you should be interviewed. If invited, the interviewers are only given your personal statement and experiences list. Once the interview is complete, they provide a score to the admissions office. Once the score is received, the interviewer is provided the entire file (GPA, MCAT etc..) for review and scoring. What I like about this is that the committee will receive a true score from your interview and their first impression of you excluding any prejudices regarding numbers. They then prove this to the admissions office. Finally, the committee meets and evaluates all the scores proved, two per interviewer and one pre-interview, and then they score the application themselves. I would go for it, what have you got to lose?
