Any of you that are students at the University of Utah School of Medicine, would you have any recommendations for family housing either on campus or off. I'm thinking about the Shoreline Ridge apartments on campus, but would like some feedback from current students as to if this is the way to go or not.

Thanks

Hello,
I am from the 'U' and would recommend flying/driving up from Arizona and looking. Skywest, Southwest, and several others have good deals right now.

There is a lot of housing right near the University, or a shuttle ride away (the campus has a great shuttle system). Also you can ride the light rail system all the way to the U and then shuttle it from there.

I did my undergrad and grew up in Utah. Traditionally University housing has been a bit cruddy, especially for a family. You can usually find better deals, at a better location, for cheaper if you just take a weekend and go look. I'm assuming you will be in Utah for a while, so it would be worth your time to check it out.

Try the listings from the Salt Lake Tribune classifieds:

good luck
