Does anyone know whether U. Penn's interview requires writting short essays?

no, at least not last year.

also, it's the most laid back interview i went to. it seemed the other schools tried to drill you and make you prove why you should get in, whereas at Upenn, it seemed they were trying more to sell their school to convince you to come, rather than ask you why you deserve to get in. in my interview, they only asked two questions. why do you want to be a dentist? why upenn? then from there, they just asked me if i had any questions. then they asked me if i had more questions....

U of Penn was a very nice interview. No pressure. Don't stress this one.
