Did anyone hear back from UW after their application receipt confirmation email?

I actually JUST got my application receipt email from UW and it said that it can take up to 6 weeks for them to review my application (I'm hoping it'll be like AADSAS where it says X amount of weeks and is actually a lot less). How far back did you e-submit and when did you get that first email from UWSOD?

Well I got this email from them on june 28th. is this the email that you got?

Thank you for applying to the University of Washington School of Dentistry. We have received your AADSAS application for the 2010 admission cycle. The next step is the initial screening to determine if your application meets our criteria to receive a supplemental application. If so, we will then ask for additional information including personal statements, letters of recommendation (if not submitted through AADSAS) , official transcripts and an application fee.
Due to the volume of applications, we ask that you do not respond to this informational email! If you need to update personal information on your application i.e. name, address, email, phone number you may do so directly on the AADSAS application website.

Thank you again for applying to our School!

Idk after that I didnt hear anything from them. on their web it says that they will be giving out secondaries.. idk if this means that i got denied...

I got the exact same email and haven't heard anything since.... I haven't seen anyone on SDN get secondaries yet so I think its a bit too early to panic.

It's absolutely never too early to panic. I've been panicking since I submitted my application and plan to continue doing so until I either get my acceptance or rejection letter! But really, I'm in the same boat as you guys so we're probably all fine.

Haha panicking won't increase your chances of getting those interviews! Just take it easy and wait for things to unfold. You've already put in all the necessary work, its a waiting game now until interviews come. THEN you can start panicking for those

hahha yea i tell myself that panic-ing is not gonna get me anywhere but i still do have these "****ting bricks" moments every week... this whole process is so uncertain

I really hope you're right! Let's keep each other posted on any news and such!

I'm currently taking summer quarter right now and we're entering finals week. News from UW would definitely be a nice way to kickoff my "real" summer.👍
