UAB psychiatry program

Hi, can anyone kindly provide some input about interview experiences from UAB Psychiatry? Thanks.

Its pretty laid back. Open up with breakfast with the chiefs and have lunch with residents. you usually have 5-6 interviews with faculty. Basic questions why psychiatry, why UAB, etc. and then if you have any questions for them.

So does UAB require 4 months of strictly IM as part of the 4 months of medicine, or can you have the option to do some peds and family? Do they give more than lip service to psychotherapy? Or are they a strong neurobiologically inclined program?
