I've been to several others clubs in vegas, but club Pure is one of the best clubs out there. I am sure you will find a roomie. I am strongly considering living alone. But to be more financially stable, having a roommate would be the best bet. I am still thinking about it.

When I used to live there, my favorite club was RA...awesome place at the Luxor! Great music and club set-up!

I've always had a lot of fun at The Palms. I forget the name of the club there but there is fire that blazes from the ceiling. Also, there's the ghost bar up on top of the hotel too.

I love vegas too, just I've blown way too much money there. My pick would be Tao at the Venetian. Pure is nice, but way overpriced on busy weekends, plus the crowd tends to be older. Tryst at Wynn is cool and Rain is cool too.

Since this thread is now about Vegas I'll admit that I've never been to Vegas 🙁

But I do have a lot of random credit card points that I can use for a plane ticket...and my birthday is at the end of this month too so if I get an acceptance I can almost justify flying out to Vegas, lol.

I've been debating between going to Vegas or going somewhere like Hawaii or Cancun (I know it's fairly arbitrary but the reason is because my credit card points pay for a plane ticket up to $500, and Hawaii and Cancun made that list last time I checked, as does Vegas)

Thing is though, if I went to Vegas what would happen is that I'd end up at the 2/4 limit tables trying to calculate pot odds while the rake takes all my money :laugh:
 
cirrus, hilarious buddy...i was actually in vegas for New Years and went to the playboy lounge at the palm and 7 of us spent $1500 on two bottles of liquor. (i don't drink but all my friends drunk). it was pretty interesting cause we started carrying people around.

I read last year's thread. Somehow that was really encouraging!! I hope it gets that exciting in here come May15/16th

You're supposed to call within two weeks of receiving the envelope in the mail. I called to confirm before hand however. You just call and accept the offer if you want it
 
love the talk of vegas, I'm actully going to be there with my bro come June for a couple of weeks, maybe i'll see you guy there. Anyways, has there been any WL movement today??

i'm finishing PhD now, in the city of angels, so i graduated way back when...awww the talk of surfing takes me back to SD, i love the whole subculture. now i'm really hoping you go to UB, we'll just have to take up snowboarding!

what are yu getting your PhD in? I am also in grad school, but just an MS. I actually graduate tonight🙂 though I am going to do some extra work in my lab this summer for a paper. Yay I'm excited, a fellow grad student going to med🙂

Yeah, the ocean is definitely one of the things I will miss the most about SD. I mean, where else can you go.. hmmm... wonder where I will surf today... do a little PB Tourmaline, Shores... or drive a little up and do O-side or San Onofre. I've tried snowboarding before and it's a lot different from surfing.... mainly that it hurts like heck when you fall down. :meanie:

I got it. When it said that some people were taken off the Hold List, does that change where we are on the list in terms of which third?? Does everyone slide down?

No, it means that starting June 18th they will be calling you to tell you you're accepted as oppose to mailing you and waiting for your response.

i think this hold list was pre-interview people...

sekem, that's just the date after which they will start calling by the masses...i believe alot of people will hear on may 16

No I think it just means that after that date, if they call you and you don't answer, you lose your shot (i.e. get rejected) and they move to the next person on the waitlist.

i don't like being dependent on tmobile wireless for a life-altering phone call...is there a limit to the # of #'s we can submit? hehe...

i think i may call the man if no one else has already...

dude for a second I misunderstood the "HOLD" with "Waitlist" as it said most of hold category has been rejected ... I almost had an heart attack ....

Damn it man ... when this waiting will end

from the past threads, it seems like you can give them as many phone numbers as you want as long as someone will pick up.

When Mr Rosso said he wants it in writing, do you think we can just email him the numbers or do we have to write a letter and mail it to them?

All this sudden news is making me all paranoid again. haha

Hey, that's exactly what I was going to ask. Do we need to send a doc of numbers via snail mail or can we just email him?

I think this is getting ridiculous.

I also thought that they would not make any wait list decisions until the 18th of June....
 
Thanks guys! I suggest calling them and asking for Mr. Rosso because there are some acceptances today that are not yet updated on the website. I called Mr. Rosso immediately after getting the Waitlist email. He said shockingly that "we've just accepted you 30 seconds ago." I was so estatic. Hopefully it'll be the same for you guys too! Also, they start calling in june as the class is filled and people on the waitlist don't accept their acceptances. I LOVE ALL YOU GUYS AND HOPE TO HAVE YOU AS MY COOL CLASSMATES....
