I didn't take it online, but I took the Anatomy course with the same prof as the online version. He was pretty (openly) hands-off, so it likely won't be a huge impact that you are self-studying. He basically made his expectations and standards very clear, told you which resources to use to prepare, and stayed true to those things when he made exams.
Anatomy is pretty much 'here is a pile of info, memorize it all', so it's well suited to online imo. He does a decent job of also including some interesting anecdotes and connections, but those were mostly through the case studies, which were also take-home, so...it should work well.
