Ok, anyone else having problems accessing this page??? I've been trying to log into it for the past few days with no luck. My secondary is due in a few days and the admissions office is closed until Jan. 2. Also, if you've completed the secondary, can you pay the fee online?

i, too, am unable to access the uc davis status page. i recall having to mail a check and something else (signature page or something) to them after completing the secondary online. i don't think it is possible to pay online, but i'm not certain.

positive that you have to mail the fee and the signature page. no way to do that on line.

Damn, what a time for the site to be down! 😡 I emailed Terri and told her about the problem. Hopefully, she'll give me an extension to mail out my fee and form!!

does anyone have any info on davis and how far along they are in the interview process? i am starting to lose hope with them too b/c my app has been complete (2ndary app) for almost 3 months. does anyone know how many people they interview that they give 2ndaries to??? just wondering if anyone had any information about their stats???

An admissions committee member at an info nite said out of 3,600 applications about 2,000 get secondaries. From that, 400 get interviews and 200 are eventually accepted for a class of 93.

I interviewed on the first interview day for UCD on 11/08 (I think that was a Friday). They (the Dean of Admissions-Ed Degong) made all kinds of promises about having a decision by 12/08. I called Terri Hall...around 12/8...and she told me that Ed was crazy and that I shouldn't hear anything until after Jan 1. My friend...who interviewed 3 days later than I...got a call from Terri with her acceptance a week before christmas (and she doesn't really want to stay in CA). Davis sucks. I called...completely worried...and they said that my file hadn't even been reviewed yet. I do know 2 people on the admissions at UCD...so I made "the call" asking what was going on. The professor I had done research for informed me that sometimes teachers...like himself...will not turn their interview forms in right away. In fact, he still had 3 forms...not completed...for interviews that he conducted when my friend interviewed. So...I sit and wait...

My other friend on admissions said that UCD gives rejections and holds by email and accepts by phone call.

Does anyone know when their first adcom meeting is this year?

Yeah. There was one a week before Christmas...and a friend already found out she got in. There was also one last night (1/6). I know that I was in the stack because I have an informant who is on that committee. My flie is complete, but I don't know when it will be reviewed. I don't know about their process...it is driving me crazy. Have you heard from any other UCs?

If you haven't called them, you might want to. I thought my application was complete three months ago after they sent me an email saying everything was there. About two weeks ago I called them to ask what was taking so long, and they told me my file was missing a LOR. Great...why did you send me an email saying everything was there? They were like---not our problem.😡

Hey guys.

UC Davis is one of my top two choices, and it may well be my number one choice after I LOVED the school and medical center when I went for my interview on 12/3.

This question is for wavelenz who seems to have the "hookup" at Davis.

Well, I interviewed on 12/3, so do you think that my app could have been reviewed, or when do you think it will be? When is the next committee meeting?

I feel like the "Davis Mom". So I found out today that three committees met on 1/6. There are about 20 apps for each group...so hopefully both you and I are in the stack. We should know soon because they want to get these apps processed. Good Luck.

coldchemist----thanks for the advice...i guess i should give them a call b/c i got an email from them saying that my 2ndary and fees were all complete on 10/8...so it has been exactly 3 months and i still haven't heard (big shocker...yah right!)...anyways, i may give them a call later today to see what is up. thanks!

One more question, wavelenz. How often does the committee meet, do you know?

No...I don't know how often the committee meets, but there are four of them...and I know people on two of them. (Does that even make sense?) Anyway, I have a feeling that they will meet more often (there has only been 4 meetings total), just because the holidays are over. I will let you know if I get any updates. And about if you getting reviewed when your interview was in early december...there are about 20 people reviewed each meeting...so there are decisions on 80 people so far...and the first day of interviews was on 11/8. I had about 8-10 in my interview group. I don't think they interview everyday, but I am not sure...you still should get an answer soon. Don't you just love them?????😡

If there has been a decision made on 80 people, and I interviewed about a month after the first date (11/8), then it looks like its almost my turn!

I hope I get that call from Terri soon!

I got this email from Terri today. I interviewed 11/8..............Hope the rest of you have better luck.

Dear Applicant:

Your application has been reviewed by the Admissions Committee and has been held for further consideration. A final decision on your application will be made after all applicants being considered for admission have been interviewed. At that time you will be informed whether you have been accepted to the class, placed on the waiting list or not accepted.

Does anyone know when they will stop interviewing?

Anyone who got the letter we're talking about, do you guys think that we're in a "high priority" or "acceptable" list because we weren't outright rejected?

Do you think that Davis rejected people post-interview?

my friend on the committee said that you have to be pretty lame to get flat out rejected. they will probably reject and waitlist in June. hope this helps.

What the heck?!

I applied to UCSF, UCLA, UCI, and UCDavis ... but I've interviewed at all the schools except UCDavis! They haven't given me an interview and its been more than 3 months now since my secondary and supplemental materials have been complete. I emailed them a week ago, but they didn't respond.

Any advice?

Hey UCSB pre-med,
I must have interviewed with you on Dec. 3rd. I know people on the committee and almost nobody gets flat out rejected. Being interviewed early means you were a higher priority app. and you are most likely at the top of the wait list unless your interview went really bad. Everybody there on the third was really great so I hope you get accepted, I will definitely be attending Davis and I hope to see you there in the fall. Good luck!!!!
