Depends on what the case scenario is. Read the instructions carefully. If it says that the crown has ceramic on full occlusal surface then it goes to line angle on the lingual other wise till the prximal. hope this helps.

Today finally after sending a series of requests, I received an email from Jane Miller and she stated that the $175 fee should reach her by 2nd May !! This is what I was afraid of. There is hardly any tym left to manage this from India.
Well I'll try and hope that the express service delivers it on time. banks are closed today due to good friday and the postal deptt is closed over weekend. This is sooo inconvenient !! What if the money order fails to reach them by 2nd May ? Will they accept it on IV day ?

even i just recieved an email stating the same...
dont worry...take a courier service from india which delivers here thruh UPS and also request a signature of the recipient..
and in case IF ur draft doesnt reach them...dont worry just email jane miller and dr beth about the delay and that your in india right now...they will understand,they wont cancel ur interview..!

Good luck guys. Not to scare you but keep on top of this. Jane miller is famous for misplacing things. I am sure they will give you some time.

I have a Question ;when they send Accept. letter and after we all get in the program when is the introductory course, for how long is that?.
Remenber We all are going to Denver..Yuuuupiii.👍:laugh::idea:

I have sent the required by DHL Express service. I have used their service b4 and they are reliable. They said the draft would reach them on Tuesday 🙂 Fingers crossed !!

What do you mean? If you are asking after the acceptance letter and before the start of the session then there is no introductory course. There is an 4 days orientation thats all and then you start the program.

So the orientation will be in January?
we all need to make plans to find a place to live, gave notice @ work and all that stuff, do u know when they send the results , and when you have to start with the 4 days orientation?

How is the life in Aurora..?😕

Results usually sent between 2-3 weeks of the last interview so you will have plenty of time.Orientation will be in december. Good luck

Thanks soo much for giving us a lot of info about CO Bench exam. Could you please tell us what are the main features U of CO looking for in Class 2 preps & Crown preps? for example - retention grooves, bevels etc. Also what kinda wax carver do they give for wax exercise? Can we get our own instrument.

I also got an interview date for May 7th. I have sent the fee for the bench exam too. Is there anything else we need to do before going to the interview?
 
Could anybody also tell me if the crown prep is usually on the anterior tooth or posterior tooth? The preferred one in the previous years- was it Gold or PFM?

They give you there own carver. You cannot take your own instrument for waxing excercise. They look at all preparations the same way as do boards. Has to be a good prep.
 
are they very particular about the measurements like depth and width of cavity preparation ??
how much reductions(occlusally& axially) are good for crown preparations? Which book to refer for this?

i am wondering if this problem is being faced by others who r practicing for their bench test in india/ or who've graduated from here:
I am practicing with my micromotor and its accompanying burs which have a traditional latch/lock; At slow speeds, it vibrates a lot.
The pfd which jane sent us shows that the burs are going to be the typical airotor burs.
Earlier on, we used to get sleeves/extensions which helped use an airotor bur in a micromotor. But I cant get it here in India now from the local dealers.

Still the problem of vibrations at slow speeds is there. Is the handpeice at colorado going to do a smoother job or will it vibrate at slow speeds too ???

Is the only solution to practice with an airotor?
 
Hi... i was just wondering if the Kilgore teeth could also simulate the DEJ and Caries??

if we are asked to prepare a composite class 2 then we really need to know the extent of caries....dont we????

hey analyser thanks for the request but i prefer discussing here....and ya you can replace the contra angle head of your micromotor handpiece if it vibrates or get it fixed from the technician... you can also replace the contra angle head piece latch type to Friction grip type (you can use friction grip type burs with this) but do ask the manufacturer if they have the compatible ones....

are you not practicing with highspeed handpiece???
