Hey guys,
I'm not pre-med or anything, but am curious about this cycle's post bac programs interviews/deadlines responses to help some friends out.

There was a thread last year for 2013 it seems but I thought I should start a new one to get the most recent information.

MCAT(thought I should add this too): 27 (11PS, 7VR, 9BS), 23(10PS, 5VR, 8BS)

So yea, my stats aren't amazing so hopefully I get in somewhere.

Wow with that GPA and MCAT you should be able to land some DO's are you hoping to get into allopathic after the postbac?
 
I didn't get a chance to apply for DO schools. I was hoping to be able to have AMCAS transfer my data to AACOMAS and just have my rec letter writers send a copy to AACOMAS. But, it was not possible and so I couldn't finish in time sadly. 🙁

I believe my GPAs are around average and my MCAT scores are below average. So chances aren't too high for me. 🙁

I didn't want to waste a year and reapply so I thought of going into UC post bacc. 🙂
 
So I submitted my application in February 21, 2014. Apparently, the consortium still has not uploaded my other two letters of rec. I submitted my letters at the same time as my transcripts and the transcripts are uploaded but two of my three letters aren't. Is anyone in the same situation I am?

I asked my friends applying and theirs were uploaded did you not use interfolio?
 
I called them today. It seems they lost my rec letters. 🙁
 
I don't know how to use it or what interfolio is sadly. 🙁

pay for the 3 or 5 year one or something like that
keep your letters forever
send a request to your professors and ask them to submit to this site
they will know what to do as they have done it before plus interfolio gives them instructions

then once the letters are uploaded interfolio will mail them out for you.

Interfolio is an awesome recommendation letter service. It is a little too late to use it for UC if you haven't, but to future-proof yourself, and not rely on the busy schedules of others to send multiple copies, you should signup for a 1-year service.
 
once you create an account and pay
go to create dossier
then go to request recommendation
it requires you to fill out name/title/email address of your professor along with a document title, label it like Prof XYZ LOR for BIO 1
select a due date
select this letter must be signed
then add cover letter/resumes/transcripts to attach to your documents and make your message to recommender and send it out

Oh man I'm sorry to hear that =/. Did you send them all together in one packet, or did you send your transcripts and letters separately?

I sent them all together but my application is still pending status with none of them uploaded. I submitted on 3/15 though, so I'm not sure if maybe it's just too soon since processing for them to have been uploaded.
 
Well, I asked again today and they said they will be happy to resend their letters.
Too bad its too late for UCI priority. 🙁

Has anyone had their interview or heard back from any schools yet? I assume the only school at this point would be UCI, but anything is possible haha
 
from what ive heard, uci has sent out interviews since last week and up until apr 4 then thats it for them

Interviews for all schools I believe start happening in April. UCI is late March so around this time because of their priority deadline (3/14). All other school's deadline isn't until 4/9.

My friend didn't get an interview until May 19 last year so there's still time.

The consortium found my rec letters (YAY) but I'm too late for UCI priority. T__T

I've had pretty good success when calling that number. It took them a while to upload my documents so I called about 4 times and got through all of those times. I usually called towards the end of the day at around 4pm. I'm not sure if that had any effect on my success, but that's what seemed to work for me. Hope you're able to get through soon!
 
I just got a response from UCI saying that they are still in the process of reviewing applications and will be conducting interviews through April. I'm not sure if this is a generic response, but I figure that I may as well share in case anyone else is curious.

I spoke with the person who handles the document uploads, his name is Elio Gutierrez. He told me that the best time to call him would be 8-9AM and around 4PM (like HowIMetYourMD said). Those are the times slots when he's not that busy.
 
i believe ucd has started handing out interview invites

I had sent my LORs as an entire package via postal service -- from what I've read in these forums, it was okay to do that. My letters were also verified via phone, but it just hasn't been updated on my online application.

What about you??? Any update on your last/third LOR?

MD_Inspired, it took them a few days after my letters were verified by phone to be updated, I also sent them by mail.

I also sent all my letters and transcripts together in one package on the 15th of March. I'm pretty nervous that UCI has already filled/offered most of their interviews already because UCI would be my first choice. Hopefully every hears back soon!

Btw, does anyone know if at least we would get any notification of rejection? I don't want to be thinking like that, but it would be good to know if I can look forward to some closure at least.

Reading the previous year's threads/posts, UCs do send out rejection letters and they don't leave you second guessing your status in the program.

I already had my interview and am patiently waiting to hear back!

Did everyone's application change to complete yet?
 
Still no interview invitations given out to UCSF applicants? So frustrating ahhh lol

Anyone get any response yet whose application was complete later in the cycle? My application was not complete until April 16th when my final letter was uploaded.

UCSF has already begun to send out interview invitations. I received mine April 7th and had my interview yesterday (April 24th).
 
How did you interview go @abtl31 ? I had interview on April 24th as well. Did you recieve any call back yet to hear your acceptance?
