Do UCs screen for both GPA and MCAT? I submitted my AMCAS 8/9 and was verified 8/23. So far, I have only received a secondary from UCSD. I took the August MCAT (this was my first MCAT).

Does anyone know to what percentage of applicants UCSD and UCLA offer secondaries?

The only UC that will give you a secodary pre-MCAT is UCSF. They project your MCAT based on GPA. None of the other UCs will give you the time of day until you get that score. I'm in the same boat.

you can call ucsd and check your status, i did.

there is a doc floating around sdn that has numbers like that but i cant find it at the moment. but honestly. knowing that doesnt really help anything. it just makes it worse.

I already got my UCSD secondary, and I do not have a MCAT score.

I sent in my primary late July.

I got the UCIrvine, and thats a definite number screen.

I got UCDavis and UCLA, which I think are slightly more comprehensive.

Have yet to hear anything from UCSF or UCSD. I do know that UCSD is big on having top numbers.

Mike G, i looked at your profile. You are an insane man. Good luck on all those secondaries, it seems like you've applied to more schools than i have. I hate to say this and seem like a jackass but i think URM is definitely gonna get you into a state school w/ you stats.

I swear I've posted this about fifty times by now. This is what I know, and it's not hard to find on their web sites:
UCSF: 5222 primaries last year, 1500 secondaries
UCLA: ~5000 primaries, 3000 secondaries
UCSD: nobody knows and the school doesn't say
