UCI Interpretation of Status...

Quick post-interview question:

Just a few days ago on the UCI website, my status was:
Alternate -----> On Hold

Today it turned into:
Alternate -----> Yes

It doesn't say that a Final Decision Letter has been sent; I am slightly perplexed by the change. Can someone shed some light on this? Thanks in advance.

it means that you were not accepted out of your interview group (ie those who interviewed with you). accd to gayle, there is very little, but there still is some, mvmt on the alternate list until may. in may it will be called a wait list i guess.

I got on the same list and called the office. The receptionist (NOT nice) says it's different than the waiting list because there is no further review of your file. They have made the decision that they want you, just not quite yet. I'm waiting to hear from Gayle for details. Email her with questions:
