Hey how did you know you were on hold - did they send you a letter?

Congrats Dr. Don! I was psyched to get the email from Gayle Pierce last month! No matter what happens, UCI is on my 'white' list.
cbpremed, I just called them. We that are 'holds' in alternate column of status check post-interview may be accepted between now and end of May/beginning of June. If not accepted by then, we'll be notified of waitlist or rejection. So essentially, it's pending decision is what it is now.

! but, i did like the school a lot, and it seems like a pretty pleasant place to spend 4 years -- particularly if you can live close to the beach!Wow, that's definitely a good sign.

hey cchieb's, yeah my status page changed from on hold to invited and the date of my interview. I didn't really check it before I got the email, so I guess they probably sent me the email, before updating my status page. As far as the city of irvine is concerned, yeah it's kind of dull, not a lot of stuff to do for us young fellas, but it's still a good place to spend 4 years of your life and then move on. I personally would love to go to UCI and stick around there for residency if possible, but then again, I'm biased because I'm from orange county. good luck peeps!

from a UCLA waitlistee and UCI post2dary hold applicantOK, I talked w/ Gail (I have mad connections w/ UCIMC that do me no bit of good). She said that if you haven't heard from them, it could've been because your app has been reviewed and they will send you a reject letter in early April, or because your app hasn't been re-reviewed yet (duh)...she can't really tell. Either way, best case scenario is that you haven't been re-reviewed yet. So, her advice is to crank out another letter of interest to convince them to invite you for an interview. She said that nothing you do to help yourself get your foot in the door will hurt. Simple enough.

Just got an email yesterday inviting me for an interview on 4/24. I never thought this day would come. There's still hope guys!
