UCLA and UCD LOR requirements

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Davis wanted 3 and I cannot remember exactly what UCLA wanted. I just had my letter sent in a packet from the university ketter service so I know I submitted more than 3 to each school. If no one else posts I can check what UCLA wanted when I get home from work.

Thanks, I'd really appreciate it.

Okay, UCLA is minimum 3, maximum of 5. 2 must be from your instructors. If your school has a premed committee or its equivalent, a committee letter is required. The secondary is online and the fee is $60. Good luck with it.

Hey thanks, so that's any two instructors, not necessarily science faculty? Also, does UCD require two from science?

My 2nd science lor writer seems to have skipped town and i'm trying to see what happens in the worst case scenario.

I caught up with mine in the Alaskan wilderness. No joke. He's refusing to use my letter service though 🙁.

The form literally said "two must be from instructors" so I am not sure if that means science specifically. Since I used a letter service I just made sure I had 3 from faculty, 2 science, one non-science, and then other letters from research and clinical experiences. I do not remember what Davis specifically wanted since I just used the letter service. I would call UCLA and ask. They usually answered the phone and answered questions as long as you kept it short. As for Davis, they are really hard to reach, so maybe try emailing them if no one answers the phone. If you can I would just get 2 science letters to be on the safe side. Good luck 🙂
