i know both are totally awesome schools, but i was wondering what the major differences were in daily life at each school. things like campus, social scene, clinic, competitiveness, specializing, and what classes are like.
please don't turn this into a uc war - both schools are great and there's no such thing as a school that's better than another!

Too late...this is UCLA/UCSF war thread...it is unavoidable...actually I joke...only for undergrad is it a Cal vs UCLA war thread...

haha, go bruins! even tho ucsf is my top choice 😛

but speaking from experience and many of the ucla dental students i know...ucla is not easy...(not saying that any other dschool is) but it is pretty rough. i remember something like 8 mt/finals a quarter. the didactics there is pretty intense. the dental students are much busier than the med students. you can ask any of them there, and they'll tell u the same. but then again, it prepares the students quite well. from what I know, the last graduating class had 80% pursuing specialties, and they all got in to what they wanted. so it's definitely a great education, amazing environment, and highly competitive. the students and faculty are friendly too. they're very normal-down to earth people with quite a lot of personality. this is just my experience from the volunteering, classes, and bunch of other stuff i've done with the school.
