Hello everyone,
I just graduated from UCLA and I want to go to medical school. I graduated with a low GPA (3.1 cumulative) and I wanted to know if anyone knows what I can do to help my GPA. I was thinking of taking courses at UCLA extension but I wanted some advice before applying for any classes. The low grades were mostly pre-req courses taken during my first and second years. Thanks for any help!

You should only retake a pre-req if you scored C- or lower (most schools will not accept this as a passing grade). If you scored at least a C, then improve your GPA by pursuing upper division classes instead. No one is impressed by someone who gets an A on a retake: it's expected.
