By the grace of God, I just got an interview at UCLA for Feb 3rd.

How full is the class?
If you got in, how long after the interview did you hear?
What percentage of interviewees do they accept at this point in the cycle? What are my chances of getting in now that I have gotten an interview?

Also, do you have recommendations for the interview that may not be portrayed on the interview feedback portion of SDN? What is the essay like?

how long after your interview did you hear back from UCLA? It will be 2 weeks tomorrow since mine and I am on a cell phone/email hyperalert.

Did Noemi call you?

I just want to know!!! waiting is so stressful.

I interviewed nov 5, and was notified dec 1. Noemi calls and the letter is sent.

Just be patient, if you interviewed two weeks ago and they are bringing in a new batch to interview I would imagine that you chances are great.

They called me 2-3 days after and told me I got in. Then again, I was in the second-to-last interview group.

From what I hear, accept 50-60% of the students they interview come to this school. This 50-60% figure doesn't include students who they accept who turn down the school.

I interviewed Jan. 27, and have not heard yet, so don't worry too much. But I am getting very antsy.

I don't remember them saying how full the class is. I think that they accepted some students in Dec and they are accepting more right now. They are still interviewing though! So there is hope 🙂

Interviewed on the 24th and was notified of acceptance the 31st, so basically a one week turnaround time. If you interviewed the 27th, I expect you'll be getting a pleasant phone call pretty soon (1-2 wks)!

they said they would contact me in late march.. but im treating this as a rejection so it doesn't really matter
well.. i think i was a borderline applicant to begin w/.. my gpa is under par and i'm considered out-of-state. PLUS i think i did pretty bad on the faculty interview.. well life goes on! i'm def not gona hold my breath till late march!

My interview with a faculty went well, but the student tore into me. I heard the student interviews were more like discussions. COmments?

My interview with the faculty went well also, my student interview was really relaxed, she didn't ask me hardly anything at all. She seemed really shy, and only asked me where i was from and what undergrad I went to.

My faculty interview was very relaxing. He asked me the usual questions, why dentistry and not medicine and why ucla.

The student "interview" was more like a luch break. I met with my student interviewer and we went to get some food. There we met up with her friend who was also a student inteviewer, who I actually already met - on SDN! We ended up talking about school, their experience and life in general. It was very laid back.

Wow! I didn't even have a student interview... and my one with the faculty lasted like 15 minutes and was the most laid back thing ever!!!

Maybe it was my good looks...

i didnt even realize there was a student interview. i'm guessing it occurred when i was getting a tour of the dental school from the student? didn't seem like much of an interview
