I am a UCLA graduate with following stats:
GPA=3.77
MCAT=28 (9/9/10)

What are my chances for MD in US medical school? Any suggestions to improve odds?

Thanks in advance

We need to know more to help you.

What was your science GPA?
Any ECs/research/shadowing/etc?
Are you an URM?

With your stats, assuming you're white, past applicants have had an approximate 60% acceptance rate.

Thanks for this.
Science GPA is 3.65
I have done volunteer work at local hospital for a year or so.
I have also been working in UCLA's research facility for geriatric population as a part time employee for last 2 years.

Your GPA is in the upper level and your MCAT is within the average.

Assuming you have good ECs, LORs, your references speak highly of you, and you interview well...I think you won't have a problem getting in somewhere.

As always, apply broadly and early and it greatly increases your chances.

As far as specific schools to consider, I'll leave that for others.

I'm not so sure of this, especially if he wants to stay in California. That MCAT will definitely put you at a disadvantage. If you are set on MD and scored consistently higher on your practice tests, I would consider retaking it. For DO you're fine.
