I realize that there are plenty of posts on UCLA's health policy track, but I have a specific question about the curriculum. Apologies for creating a new thread instead of posting on the general thread.
This is probably most applicable to folks currently in the program or giving serious consideration to applying:
Is it your experience or impression that the health policy curriculum is mostly concentrated on understanding, analyzing, and applying U.S. health policies and the U.S. healthcare system?
I ask because I am interested in health policies in an international/global context. I am open to studying U.S. policies but in so far as it informs healthcare systems abroad. I realize that students have 5 elective courses and can potentially broaden their classes to include international policies - courses perhaps available at Luskin or Anderson. However, to me this seems insufficient if the core and departmental requirements are mostly concentrated on U.S. policies and healthcare.
Thanks in advance! 🙂
