Does anyone know if UCLA is still handing out interviews?

I thought I remember reading on these forums last week that a few people got some interviews. I applied in the first batch, though. Hmm.. I don't know. I wonder if there's still a chance?

I had my interview last week and got notified end of January for the interview invite. They should be giving out interviews til April. My friend got an invite last cycle in March. Good luck everyone!

Their website states interviews are given until March, so there is still hope. But I wonder how many more interview days...

No, I applied end of July and had my secondary re-submitted due to formatting problems late November..

yes. small groups of awe-struck and well dressed students shuffle around the school from time to time.. it's less frequent than before but still happens

I just got invited for an interview today. I don't think the class has any spots left though, based on my stalking of the Facebook group for people accepted to the class of 2016, so I guess it's probably an interview for the alternate list? Feeling thankful to have a spot reserved elsewhere, because a shot at UCLA this late in the game seems a bit out of reach. By the way, I turned in my application in July.

A few of my classmates told me they interviewed in late April. So don't give up yet 🙂

SayCheese123, When is your actual interview date in your invitation? I know from my browsing that UCLA seems to send two types of invites this late in the cycle. The typical one states something along the lines of being late in the cycle and a successful interview does not guarantee a spot, but you would get waitlisted. The other type specifically stated that you are interviewing for alternate positions, so I assume all deposits are received at that point.

Also, if you look at the UCLA class of 2015 facebook gorup, it has over 100 members. Don't forget the 20 international students that they accept into each class on top of the 88 regular seats. This could account for some of the people in the group past 88.

Congrats on the interview invite! I believe this is the last group of invites they're sending out.

dont read too much into how many people are in the facebook group, half the people in that group are from the c/o 2015 (cuz we have nothing better to do than to stalk the incoming class)

Speak for yourself man. I'm only there to mentor the next generation of oral healthcare practitioners 😀

But yeah, the groups tend to be over inflated because you have the previous year joining. So class of 2013 has class of 2012+2013, class of 2016 has class of 2015+2016, etc.
