I am a going to be a sophomore in the fall and i plan to be a physiological science major i was wondering if any of u guys out there had any comments about this particular major. Also, what is the average gpa for this major. How does the difficulty of the classes compare with classes such as Life Science 2/3 or Chemistry 14C/D??

thank you

not physci but i can tell you this much. i took all the LS sequences (6, 14, 3 series) and these are honestly fairly easy. im sure our physical science premeds would not say the same, but too bad for them.

as for upper divs, they have much nicer grade distributions (of course some professors are a royal pain in the ass when it comes to the distribution) but the material will be MUCH MUCH more in depth.

Sure, I will comment... all of the MIMG and Biochem majors laugh at Phy Sci majors because it is one of the easier majors... that being said, I never took any Phy Sci classes not the LS or Chem at LA, so I cannot compare

Phy Sci at UCLA is definitely the best major in the world. The faculty is really good, the classes are interesting (its basically med school lite), and the electives are so applicable that many non PhySci people try to get in (Nutrition, Exercise). The classes have a lot more material to memorize than the LS series. I took the Chem 20/30 series but those were conceptual so there isn't really a comparison (physci is like 90% memorization).

MIMG is for nerds btw 😆
