Unless things have changed, it's definitely an advanced program.

Unfortunately it's hard to get a lot of info about the VAGLAHS program (which is affiliated with UCLA, but technically the program is VA-run/based). When I applied the website had very little information. Your best bet is to contact the program itself and see if anything has changed.

It's a great program with the nicest program director I met on the interview trail and some very happy residents.
