Anyone ever been accepted from the Hold List (second tier waitlist) at UCLA? I figure they must use it every once in a while, else why would they have it? All of the old threads I have seen only discuss the waitlist (1st tier).

eh, from what i hear, the hold list is just a nice way of saying "slow rejection." we should just forget about UCLA and focus on other schools.

when did you receive your hold btw and when did you interview?

Interviewed 3/7, my hold letter was sent 3/18.

I've heard the same thing (delayed rejection) but you can always hope.

sorry to hear that. were you a MD only or MSTP applicant?

MD only. I was kind of amazed they made such a quick decision and then gave me a hold-list as a result. I thought it might be good news since it came so quick........

im a lil confused cuz ucla gave me an interview invite really late and i decided to take it cuz i really like ucla. and ucla allowed me to schedule my interview for early april which seems really late to me. but the admissions office said that april wasnt a problem. does that automatically mean im getting waitlisted since ucla has already sent out its decisions? or do you guys think that i could still potentially get accepted?
