Hey all. Just joined the SDN network but I think I will quickly become addicted 🙂

Anyways, I know it's a bit late in the game, but I'm working on the UCLA secondary right now. I feel like a lot of the prompts are pushing me to summarize what I already have in my AMCAS app. Did other people have this same problem? Should I try to talk about different aspects of each activity? It's kind of hard to redescribe each activity and then put down a different spin given the character constraints. Would it be OK to say something to the effect of "refer to my AMCAS" or should I just resummarize some points. I dunno, maybe the adcoms just want to make sure that what we have on the secondary is the same as what we listed on the secondary. What did you guys do?

it's not that late in the game...i just finished my ucla secondary myself. (sdn peeps on average tend to be waaaay ahead of the crowd, so i keep telling myself.) anyways, i approached the ucla questions by trying to give more color than i did in the secondary by saying more about what the activity meant to me personally, rather than the more "resume-ish" description that i had in my amcas description. also, their questions are pretty specific -- leadership, most important etc. explain about that particular aspect of the activity, ie, what you did as a leader, why it was most important, etc.

g'luck!

Just wondering if anyone left any of the essay questions blank...

i'm sure many applicants didn't fill out the hardship and obstacle questions, but I would definitely recommend answering all the others, especially since they're limited to 800 characters.
