UCLA is screened more heavily than USC. Pretty much everyone receives a USC secondary, but I'm sure there are some applicants that are screened out by GPA or MCAT.

Just to re-iterate what's said above, USC sends secondaries to everyone. Really not sure what UCLA looks for when they screen. I was a UCLA alum and received secondaries/interviews for PRIME and Drew but not even a secondary for David Geffen.

Hm, that is interesting. I only ask because I am reapply this cycle, but receive secondaries at UCLA and USC (and not a Drew). I was trying to cut down my schools list to schools that I actually had a shot at.

Thanks for your response.

UCLA interviews A LOT less. UCLA pretty much as a full class by late November/mid December but USC usually doesn't have a full class until mid January/February. USC also has a lot of waitlist movement but I don't even think UCLA has a waitlist.

I think you got it wrong. UCLA interviews more people. UCLA most definitely had a waitlist. In the past two years UCLA has had much more WL movement than USC. Additionally UCLA doesnt accept people until the new year.

Last cycle, the first, very small number of ucla acceptances didn't come out until February. The class definitely isn't full until MUCH later.
