Which program is generally considered better? I had assumed it was UCLA, but someone told me that they have been known to not fill.

I've heard cedars is a community program that is academically oriented while UCLA is your typical big academic program type place.

UCLA is by far the stronger program with a much stronger reputation. But it's also somewhat notorious for being rather malignant. Cedars is known as a UCLA affiliate, but it's actually pretty academically oriented for a community program. Cedars seems to attract a younger more out-going group of residents, considering its location right in the middle of LA, Hollywood, Beverly Hills.
