The Department of Dermatology at the University Of Connecticut School Of Medicine is currently accepting applications for a research fellow for the 2019-2020 academic year.

Description:
The clinical trials research fellowship at UConn Health Dermatology is a 1-2 year paid research opportunity under the direction of Jun Lu, MD, the director of the Clinical Trials unit. The clinical trials fellow has the opportunity to act as sub-investigator and study coordinator on clinical trials for many dermatologic diseases including psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and CTCL. Fellows are expected to operate with significant independence, and become well-versed in all aspects of executing clinical trials. Additionally, fellows are expected to work with the department to publish original research, attend academic conferences, and assist faculty and residents with their respective research interests.
Previous fellows have been successful in securing residency positions both through the match and outside of the match.

Daily Responsibilities:
Fellows are expected to be present from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every working weekday. The majority of the fellow’s time is expected to be spent working with the Clinical Trials team managing the department’s clinical trials, and working toward publication of original research. The Clinical Trials unit is well integrated within the department, and the fellow will have the opportunity to work with all of the faculty and residents, both in a research capacity and seeing patients in clinic.
