I still haven't heard anything yet on my end. Trying to not get my hopes up.
Yah I already got into UPenn, UMDNJ, waitlisted at Tufts, and am still waiting on BU.
I'll survive, just would have liked to go to UConn, but oh well!
Congrats. How did it go? Did they give you any indication when we might here? Putting my deposit down at Drexel just in case. Still hoping for good news from UCOnn.
Have you heard anything yet PearlyWhites??? I'm keeping my fingers crossed for my fellow pre-dent!
Cheers!
Denied :-(Hang in there Pearly, Lynda Fox told me last week that only a few postbaccs have been notified and that interviews are still taking place.
Based on what I've read on the forum, UCONN wants people they are confident can handle the course load. I would recommend getting two LOC's from professors who can talk about your academic abilities. LOC's from employers should only be used if you've been out of school for many years and have had no recent contact with professors. That's just my 2 cents...I just started working on this application and getting everything together. I was wondering if somebody could help me with a minor detail. I know that the application needs two letters of recommendation to be considered complete. Does anybody know if these should both be from professors? Could one be from an employer? Do they prefer a teacher to a boss or vice versa? Any help here would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Pearly,Denied :-(
I received an email explaining to me that the dean of admissions for Dental School does not think that I need to complete this program, based on my grades in advanced science coursework. I was advised to take the DAT over (for better scores) and re-apply to Dental School. I was also advised to apply to a Masters program in the mean time. So was it really a bad thing that I wasn't accepted? I'm so confused! What do you all think about this? Thanks so much for listening . . .
Pearly,
That sucks! Maybe you should just reapply to DS. It sounds like you have almost all your ducks in a row to do so. Would you be able to retake the DAT soon and reapply for Fall 2010? I'm not familiar with your stats, so I'm not sure what your particular situation is and I'm new to this whole process anyway, so my advice is probably meaningless.
Sorry again.

who applied to the postbac program and have you heard from UCONN as of yet?
Did anybody apply to the full year minority program?
Pushyourself, how long after you submitted your app until you received the 'your file is complete' email? I hope my app wasn't mixed in the process...all my stuff was addressed to Keat. They said they'd get back to you at the end of october?? And yet nothing? wow. hopefully soon!
I also applied to the Full-year Minority Program as well as Program A.
I have been trying to call and email but no response 🙁 Linda's voicemail message says that when your file is complete, Dr. Sanford will email you the confirmation....no news yet...
