HELP! i received my secondary on november 30th from ucsd. do you think it's ok if my secondary is postmarked december 30th?? ucsd has that 1 month deadline. are they really strict about receiving it within one month, or can it be postmarked by 1 month?? HELP!!

Don't worry about it now, just send it in!! They're not going to be checking the postmark as a condition to inviting you for an interview, but the longer you wait, the more committee meetings pass that your application wasn't in the pile.

Don't worry if its late or on time or whatever--just hurry up and send it in!
(They're not going to make any decisions until they get the secondary anyway)

G'luck! :luck:

Call the office. OSU has the same i month dead line, but when I called the office they told it is not mandatory and it is only to help the student (kinda pushing you to finish it).

definitely call them! when i didn't turn my ucsd secondary in within a month i got a letter a few weeks later saying they were withdrawing my application. i had intentionally not filled it out and had opted not to apply so no big deal to me but that would obviously be very bad for you!

The admissions office is closed for a few days, just send it in...you have nothing to lose (well, postage) and everything to gain. Good luck!

me too but that's because I'm a loser and forgot about the one month deadline (and was procrastinating because they had really annoying essays). So I called and asked if I could still submit and the admissions woman said they would reactivate my account if I sent it in ASAP. I asked if I would be at a huge disadvantage and she just repeated "Send it in". I think they must have put my app at the bottom of the pile though because I haven't heard anything from them since then (end of sept).

I tried calling all morning, and no one's picking up. Do you know if med schools are closed this time of year for the holidays? I emailed the person I got the secondary from too. No response yet.

ok send it in and then on monday morning when the office opens again, call them right away and explain the situation so they can reactivate your account. Good luck!

I missed the deadline. Then I got a rejection letter postmarked 1 week after the supposed secondary deadline. The letter said they did not receive my secondary and assume that I am no longer interested in their school.
