UCSD interview question

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
for total acceptance rate, consult USNWR. 50% is way too high.

actually, i just corroborated cal student's number with the us news data, and it seems about right... i was asking for the percent of interviewees that are accepted, not the total acceptance rate. 50% would be a nice overall acceptance rate, wouldn't it? 🙂

Your chances are looking real good constructor, g'luck and congratz on the SD interview.

thanks a lot! your numbers are better than mine so i'm sure you'll be getting an interview invite from them soon. to be honest, i would rather have uc davis than ucsd. how long after you were complete did uc davis get back to you with an interview invite?

thanks dawg. ucsf has just started giving out interviews, so i really don't think you should be upset already. i'm sure you (and everyone) will have a lot of things to be upset about down the line, so save it for those times... that's what i think anyway.

I'm sure its harder to get a SD interview than a Davis interview, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for SD. I estimate I was complete around 8/22 for Davis, but it still hasn't indicated that on my status page, it skipped over those two boxes and went straight to interview scheduled date. Must be some computer error thing. Irvine's shaken my faith in numbers, I'm starting to understand why everyone calls this process a crapshoot. Just hang on, your Davis interview is on the way.

do you guys know if all UC schools have that one month deadline? or just sd and uci? do they give extensions?

LA's deadline for me is 9/30, was about a month and a half. UCSF has a four week deadline. Not sure about Davis. They are pretty flexible as long as you contact them about your situation.
