UCSD Letter of Interest

Hi All

I just got put on Hold for an interview at UCSD. I recently got on national dean's list, continue to teach disabled students and ochem for the princeton review and have a new research position. Should I send a letter to UCSD indicating my interest in their school and a quick update about myself? Does it work? Thanks

PS I know I also wrote the Duke LOI question, but there's still a chance I don't get in even with a letter of intent. And I am interested in UCSD - its close to home, good research, great weather

I'd leave out the National Dean's list (it's a joke--everyone gets it/like Who's Who), but otherwise by all means, send them updates!
