Hi, does anybody know UCSD selection process post-interview?

I know in some schools (e.g. UVM), once you get selected for the interview, you're pretty much equal with everybody in terms of GPA, MCAT etc, and they put a significant weight on the interview alone.

Is UCSD like that or they give number scores for each category (GPA, MCAT, EC, interview etc.) and make the final decision on the composite scores. Anybody? Thanks.

personally i don't think the interviews there carry much weight. it's just another rec letter and your stats and ec's are weighted much more heavily.

I have to agree with this. A good friend knows the dean fairly well and they weigh the interview very lightly. UCSD is a very numbers and research based school.
