How should I approach the prompt of one of the questions (or the only question?) on UCSD's supplemental application - "Please describe how you have explored the profession of Pharmacy, and UCSD in particular, to determine this is the career path for you."

Do you think they want us to discuss only pharmacy relevant experiences, such as volunteering and shadowing, or do they mean anything that has led us to choose pharmacy as a career? If the latter is the case, then I feel that it would be so similar to my personal statement..

What do you guys think? Thanks in advance!

It's an open-ended question so you can answer the question however you like. Personally, I copy and pasted my Pharmcas essay with minor changes to use for my supplemental essay. I was accepted and will be attending UCSD pharmacy school this fall.

Whoa interesting..I thought adcoms would automatically reject applicants who did that, but I guess the changes you made were enough for them..

I have heard on these forums that you should never copy and paste your essay. I mean, UCSD is already getting your PharmCAS essay, what can be gained by giving them two copies of it? I don't mean to put down your advice, extra, but I don't think that what you did will work for most people. That's just my feeling.

hi what about other questions -- volunteer activities, school organizations, hobbies, and intellectual interests?
Did you answer them in paragraph forms or just lists? What is the word limits for each of these question?
thanks
