Well right now the pgy-2 averages q10-12 (there's 12 residents, but some do research rotations, catch up on neuro, etc). PGY-3 is q6 weeks. We're also working on a nightfloat system that may be implemented in Fall 2009 that will likely involve at minimum the PGY-1's, and potentially the 2's and 3's.
I haven't gone through the 2/3 curriculum yet (finishing up intern year), but from what I hear it's pretty damn good. 2 - includes weekly CBT training, usual morning didactics on thursday morning. You do a lot of VA time in year 2, but we like to think of it as the opportunity to work with inpatients over a longer period of time and start doing a bit more therapy with them while they're in the hospital. At least that's my logic. You also do 2mos CAP, 2mos ADTP, 1 mo Gero, 1 mo C/L and another month halftime C/L, haltime hospice.
Year 3 is all outpatient, curriculum involves a lot of psychotherapy/psychodynamic teaching.
I can dig up more specifics about the later curriculum if you have specific questions.
