I am so excited. I was waiting for the call since seven this morning. I was so excited that I don't even know who called me. I just know he was from ucsf, but now I'm thinking it must been the dean.

Hey guys, I asked the same question in the UW thread.
So, other than the phone call and AADSAS update, did you guys receive anything in the mail/e-mail from UCSF? If so, did it lay out the conditions or requirements for final admittance? I'm holding out hope for an acceptance and I'm getting a little paranoid about things that could go wrong (eg. I haven't taken the English classes), so I want to make sure that things are ironed out before they're too late.

i got an addsas update, two emails, a phone call, and a letter, and another one coming. here's wat the email says, svart.

"1. Do not be concerned that this offer of admission is “provisional.” All admission offers are initially provisional and do not become final until late summer or early fall, after you have completed the administrative steps required for enrolling at UCSF and satisfactorily completed your remaining course work (if applicable).

2. Once we receive confirmation that your deposit payment has posted, you will receive an email with detailed instructions on the steps you must next take to prepare for matriculation.

3. As one of the requirements of this offer is that you successfully complete your prerequisites by the end of the spring 2010 term. We have begun to review your perquisite status and will send you an update on which, if any, prerequisites are pending or deficient. Please check with our office before making any changes to the spring schedule you listed in your AADSAS and/or secondary application(s).

4. All course work that is in progress or planned for the fall 2009 through summer 2010 terms must be completed with a grade of “B” or higher. If you receive a grade lower than a “B” you must contact us immediately as your file will be subject to another review, and your offer of admission may be revoked. Failure to notify us of this prior to our receipt of your official grades could also result in your offer of admissions being revoked.

5. Please take note that this offer is for admission in fall 2010 only and cannot be deferred."

Cool, thanks. I'd like to know some of the administrative steps needed prior to matriculation. My only acceptance mail (Penn) is kind of skimpy on the details.
