Hi guys.. I was wondering how far UCSF goes down their alternate list. Is anyone else wait-listed? 🙁 Up to what position would you think that there is good chance? Anyone worried like me please feel free to post..

Lets just say you couldn't get to my spot if you counted with all of your fingers and toes 😛

Hey we're on the same boat! But let's cross all our fingers and toes we get in...... haha

I believe from my class we had up to 20 people from the waitlist get in... so there is hope waitlist is better then denied

Still better than me! 😀 If only the class size was 150...

If anyone beats me for a higher number, I may consider giving you a dollar.

I got #76.... can I have a dollar? lol.

Well I plan on withdrawing though, so I suppose if there is anybody after me, they can take my spot...

Dangit... You beat me! Well how about this, if you go to Tufts or are from Seattle you can have a dollar!

im 81... i dont know if it will even come close to my number.. but just happy that i'm not denied

Haha well it's good to know the we can make a whole new class with just the waitlist. My position is too miserable to mention

yea seriously! If there's a waiting list of 80+ people, that's a whole class right there. I don't understand why they waitlist so many people.

I was thinking the exact same thing. That is outright ridiculous. I'm kind of happy I got denied.. I wouldnt want to be in Limbo.

Hey, I won a limbo contest at a sororities dance my freshman year, maybe its a sign that I'll come out on top of this limbo! #62 FTW!

im going down to UCSF to make the final decision between there and LLU. So far it looks like LLU, so keep up some hope!

well, yesterday was the first waitlist update day. got bumped up by 5 seats. doesn't help at all 👎

i know! i am really fortunate to have gotten accepted. my DAT scores weren't the best either lol. which means you shouldn't lose hope if you dont get a DAT score in the 20s! 🙄

Did you have any super special EC's or something? 3.5/3.3 with 18/18/19 is quite the achievement to get into UCSF considering it's very competitive. Olympian? Athlete? Researcher? Published? Anyhow congrats! 👍

lol no i'm no super human with all that fancy stuff. haha

- was president of the Cambodian club on campus for 2 years
- 3 three summer programs
  • smdep at ucla
  • mdpp at uconn
  • summer abroad program in cambodia for 8 weeks
- shadowed over 100 hours at the dental office.
- volunteered for a few health fairs over the past 5 years.

other than that, i didn't have much time to do anything else cause i was working full time at my family's shop as well as being a student full time.

i wasn't even participating in the predental club on campus cause it fell apart in my 2nd or 3rd year and barely started again like a year ago.

i never did any type of research cause it just didn't interest me and i think that's more critical for premed students rather than predents

Anyway, keep hope alive because there will always be a school for you 🙂 .

I got accepted to another school and am currently #47 on UCSF's waitlist. I need to make decision to stay in or opt out of the UCSF's waitlist by May 5th.
So that means someone will possibly get bumped up one spot.
