OOOHHH I am so nervous!!!!!!!!!!!! UCSF is one of my first choices and I hope i do get an interview!!!!!!!

I just got their secondary request, I hope I get an interview.
 
Of the 213 in-state applicants interviewed there last year, 106 were accepted . I like those odds! Congratulations Fonz, I'm extremely jealous! UCSF is top notch.

I don't know if I like those odds that much. Hopefully most of those rejected were interviewed late.
 
congrats fonz! do u know that if u got a 2ndary from UCSF does that mean u passed the screenign for BOTH ur GPA and DAT? cuz it looks ilke only certain people get 2ndaries from UCSF.. PM with a response as i might not check back here..thank u =)
 
I'd like to know this too. If the secondary is sent out to anyone who applied then I might not waste my time filling it out as I am a form NY and I hear UCSF accepts like 1-2 people from NY if that.
 
I'm not sure but I think the secondary is sent to everyone with about a 3.0 and 17 dat (if your out of state). But if you've already paid for your dat to be sent and aadsas fee you might as well send the 60 to get looked at more closely.

Congrats on the interview!! Hope I get one after my letters get sent (ucsf just sent me an email saying they must be there by the Oct. 15th or I'm canceled.. stupid aadsas lost my letters).

I'm pretty sure not everyone gets the secondary...also, I was a NY resident at the time and was accepted. As I recall, on my interview day (pre-december 1) there were definitely a handful out out-of-state students. I would definitely suggest applying even if OOS!
 
I received my secondary from UCSF a few weeks ago -- it said everyone gets a secondary that meets the minimum requirements -- I think that they were 17 DAT and a 3.0, but don't quote me on that. For those of you awaiting the secondary, beware -- it is long, lots of essays!

angel, so does this mean you are now a CA resident getting the in-state tuition? If so, was it difficult to gain CA residency and get the in state rate?
 
most OOS students pay OOS tuition for one year because you have to be physically present in california for more than a year. tho, if you happen to go to school in california, work and live in california when school is not in session, you can probably petition to be a CA resident earlier on (winter or spring quarter of first year.)

I swear.. im so scared that they made a mistake... i havent gotten any email/snail mail/phone call to make it official yet.. i dont want to get my hopes up

do you guys know if uscf accepts out of state applicants? Also, if aadsas said invited for interview, do you gotta call them to make appt? good luck to everyone 👍
 
yes, they do accept out of staters...and i will be calling htem...there are no other directions to follow..no email, no letter, so i think i will call
 
i just got one too according to AADSAS!! congrats everyone. anyone know if we should be expecting to hear from them via mail/email?

How long ago did you all send in your secondaries? I FINALLY got my done and sent out on Monday....just want to know how long it took them to process everything...

Invite through AADSAS!!! Whoooo hoooo!!!

I sent my AADSAS app in at the end of June and sent in my supplemental end of August.

oh also, as for those who have scheduled their interviews, could you tell me when the interview begins and ends? and wat days of hte week

Mine is on a monday but they do other days of the week too. He said the day will last from 8am to about 2:30 pm

on their website, it says that I am still "under review", I haven't gotten any mail or email, but AADSAS says I am invited for an interview. It's been 2 weeks since I submitted my secondaries.
Is this the same with everyone?
 
AADSAS says invited for interview for me as well. Does anyone's AADSAS status not say invited?? UCSF has made an error w/ my app already this year. A few weeks back I received a letter stating my app was withdrawn per my request. I had to call and reinstate it. I'd sure love to believe this latest news but it doesn't seem right. Hope I'm wrong!

same deal here. i hope it's not an error, but it seems like everyone has been invited as per their AADSAS status. anyone here NOT have their status updated to "invited for interview"?

ya mine says the same thing... invited for interview.... but it didnt say that yesterday so they just updated today....

A friend of mines aadsas still says under review

same with mine...except UCSF hasn't updated their status webpage since 8/29. as for all these people getting invites...it doesn't seem that farfetched. consider any other invite process, i.e. nova...the reason it seemed as if they weren't interviewing that many people at a time was because they mailed out the invites and so everyone got them at different times, and they assigned an interview date.

besides, as far as sdn goes, only 11 of us have been granted interviews via aadsas...that's not all that unbelievable.

anyway, i'm going to go ahead and believe it. hopefully i'm right and we can all take a deep breath come next week 😎

i hope you're right! yeah i forgot to check when the UCSF status was updated so that makes sense that it would still be 'under review'

No. I received the e-mail first and then recently they changed the AADSAS status and Webtools status.
 
Mine has also been changed to 'Invited for Interview'

Hopefully this isn't a technical error by UCSF / AADSAS
