Hey!
Any news from UCSF anyone?
I got an email saying my application is denied.🙁

Remain positive. Did you call them up or e-mail the University asking for application status or did they send the mail by themselves

I called them several times to ask about my application and got to know that my part 1 score did not reach them (i had actually sent an official sealed copy with the application)....sent it again, but could not get in touch with them, so, dont know if it's bcoz of missing scores or bad stats.
but i'm surprised that noone else has heard from them. i got the email 4 days back....looks like they really wanted to reject me. 🙄

i think u had applied pretty early in the application cycle hence heard so soon or else u r the only one to admit ( jus kidding )

I wish these university guys would add a note on why the application was rejected. I am waiting for my rejection letter too. Our stats are quite similar. Anyway, think about what to do next. Good luck 🙂

UCSF guys are really mum , perhaps secret selection , u cant contact them n if you call its no reply , overall god knows .

N yeah ne guess when to expect calls from them.

I sent my application in early June, with all my other applications. What's bothering me is that I'm the only one who has heard from them and it's been more than a week. And also, the nature of the rejection letter was strange....a one line email saying " sorry, you application is denied ".
And I agree with you Mit79, that they should give us some feedback regarding our applications. Anyway, I dont think I can do anything now.

I agree that it is strange that only you have heard from them. Taking a cue from you, I mailed them about my application status. Looks like mine is complete. Also, the rep said the interview letter will be mailed to selected candidates by end of September or October 1st. Anyway I dont think I stand a chance. Thinking of improving my NB-I score.

frankly . both of the facts r starnge !!

We will just have to wait and watch !

Sorry to bother them with phone calls and email , they infact have replied with application complete.Well fingers crossed , they ll send interview calls now. Best of luck to all.

I called and left a voice message today inquiring about my status but nobody contacted me...

Actually they were very nice and they emailed me saying that they are still waiting for my TOEFL score, I replied and told them that I sent it recently, they answered back comforting me that it should be a matter of time then (that was last month)

I am surprised about some people's experiences with UCSF.

I remember that when I called them last year they told me that over 75% of their applicants had a score over 96 in part 1 and that my situation is not very competitive... it was frustrating!

I had only e mailed them asking for application status. They replied in 5 days.

I had sent my application in August i think and got their email to confirm my application status on 25th Sept , i guess . N well sum1 just put that 75% ppl had score above 96 in the application pool last yr ...ha ha ....im out then .....cos this new pattern has had me down n its still bothering .....Well hope is what i have then ........
