Two thoughts/questions about UCSF interview next week:

1) Are they group interviews? I'm in a "Group", but I wasn't sure if that is for blocks of interview times or actual group interviews.

2) I was thinking about dressing down (business instead of full-on suit) for the SFSU open house and Saturday's informational meeting. Does anyone know to what extent we will be interacting with the admissions committee at those events, if at all? Should I keep the suit on?

Thanks!

As far as I understand it's not a group interview. I think the "group" is just the block of people who have the same interview time as you.

I'm dressing down for the Friday activities. Slacks and nice shirt with comfortable shoes for tours. It seems more appropriate. But, you could always wear a blazer and take it off if you wanted to dress up a little. But, I say save your full suit for the next day! 🙂

My interview is Friday afternoon. Yours is Saturday?

Can you believe we have to write an essay in 15 minutes? Worse than the GRE!

For the "overview" on Saturday, I think we all have to be there at 7:30am. At least traffic won't be bad.

Good luck to you! If you ever want to chat about the program, feel free to PM me!

Oh yes, that makes sense. So, yes my interview is that morning, after the overview. Thanks and good luck to you too!

My interview is on Friday. I plan to suit on with button up blouse Friday morning. For the night activities probably just change into more comfortable shoes. But might as well keep wearing the suit jacket because it will be cold anyway. For Saturday's activities I plan to wear a more casual blouse with my suit. When in doubt, always dress up instead of down 🙂
