Out of curiosity, who else out there is still waiting?

I sent an email awhile ago just to see if it had been sent yet. No response. But then I didn't expect them to. I'm thinking of calling them sometime this week.

I got my letter today!!!! 😍 I was so happy that I couldnt stop shaking!
I'm also in SF and the letter was postmarked on March 20! I interviewed on Jan 27th. Good luck to those who are still waiting

I started doubting myself, my interview, my essay... EVERYTHING at the beginning of this week because I hadn't heard back from UCSF yet, while everyone I knew seemed to be getting acceptance letters left and right. I pretty much prepared myself mentally for rejection.

But, I got my acceptance letter yesterday! I interviewed on feb. 4th and the acceptance letter was postmarked March 20th. It came in a regular envelope with a one page letter.

So for those of you guys who interviewed and haven't received anything yet, don't lose hope! There is still plenty of time. Hang in there! 😉 Best of luck to everyone and hello to my future classmates 😛

i was almost positive i wouldnt get in, especially since i got rejected from 2 schools, including SD.... .


And then it happened...i think im still dreamin 😍 Congrats everyone!! and for those still waiting, there's only a few more days left, GOODLUCK!!

I feel like I should mention something on this thread since it's UCSF related. I have been waitlisted.

Man, you people who have been accepted must have incredible stats! I can't think of anything that I could have done more of. Well, other than have a higher GPA. lol. But congrats to all those who made it.

If I don't make it this year, perhaps I will see you in the next. 🙂

I'm so upset I can't even put it into words.

What do you guys think is a good place to be on the alternate list? do you think top 10 get in? or top 20? or more? I think my number kinda sucks so this is just out of curiosity.

Don't worry too much. I've heard from several people that you have a really good shot if you're in the top 20. I'm in the same boat as you....keeping my fingers crossed for both of us.

you never know. I was talking to someone on this forum yesterday and she told me that she was waitlisted somewhere in the 40's last year and by the time school started she had made it all the way down into the #14 spot. That means they admitted atleast 25 people from the wait list, if not more. I think you have a very good shot at getting in still. Don't lose hope until the proverbial "fat lady sings". 😛 😀

You're from Jersey, right? I'll check my mail tomorrow... I'll be happy if it's WL but I am expecting worse. At this point, I'm so sick of waiting on SF I truly don't care anymore Did u get accepted at other schools?

I may be waiting for something bigger than SF... I'm expecting an email to see if I made it to the next round for a summer internship at Agilent -- an interview at their HQ. 🙂 Gonna be nervous bout that too... hehe.

I just declined the acceptance to UCSF (which was perhaps one of the hardest things I had to do and did at the VERY last moment) and accepted UCSD's invitation, primarily because my husband is in San Diego and it is just a better fit at this point in my life.
When I interviewed at UCSD, there were many people that also interviewed at UCSF and they said they were really hoping to get in to UCSD and if they got accepted to both they'd choose UCSD b/c of being from SoCal or whatever the reason. So there may be many people accepted to both (from what I have noticed in the forums here at SDN that is the case) and your chances may be a lot higher than you think 😉

for those on the waitlist, i said this in another thread but there's still hope to think that even though you have a high number that you will be accepted. it really depends on the year but some years they've taken a lot of people off the waitlist. esp because ucsd is starting to accept more students. keep hope!

So far I only received an email saying to download and send the Statement of Legal Residence and to pay the deposit. 🙂

i also got the email about sending in the deposit/resident statement, but only after i got a message on my answering machine yesterday from the admissions fellow about how they hadn't heard back from me yet- although i accepted almost a month ago! that was a heart-stopping moment but i called and got things cleared up. the weird part is that i had received a confirmation email after submitting my acceptance..
