To those who are reaching on the 21st but want to practice in the school lab if possible, coz they have the lab open only till friday 20th midnight.

Wouldn't it be great if we get a day to practice just before the actual exam? I think it can work out if all of us request mary pham asap that we want the lab to be open on saturday the 21st also.

see....it is a team effort...we are all going there to do our best...so why not do it together right??

just confirm back once you have requested mary and what she says,etc.

hi, last year they had opened the lab saturday-a day before theory exam and also on evening time after theory exam. So this time, if we request, then they will open the lab.

here is the deal every one call mary pham on monday 9th oct and request her to keep lab open for out of state students who will be reaching there on 21st .....as in state students have ample time to practice and be acquainted with maniquin compared to others..... team work always pays...... n who so ever gets the first nod just go ahead n write ur conversation here.....good luck

did ny1 call up/email mary pham regarding keeping the lab open on the 21st too??

i emailed her in the morning and am yet to receive her reply...but i noe she will definitely.....

lez hope our request is taken into consideration.....

hey dentistgal...

we don need to take anything there...all will be provided to us for the exam....the handpiece...the burs...the manual...etc....

but if u plan to go early and practice in their lab...then u will have to take ur handpiece atleast....even ur burs and i guess columbia typodont teeth maybe.....the best bet would be to get in touch with mary pham and find out.....we all have or would be ....maye she will get back to us soon....

I'm a little confuse about the lab schedule on friday? it said that we can use it from 5 pm to 12 midnight, but the door will be locked by 6 pm, is that mean that if you're arrive there after 6 pm you can't use the lab? can anybody help me?? thx.

Yes, You have to arrive the college before 6 pm to enter the college. but if you meet any college student at that time, they can open the door with their id card. or any person inside the college at that time can open the door. and thus you can enter the lab. somtimes they closed air units of compressor early at 10 pm, so can't expect to work till 12.00 am.

well guys....i got mary's reply and itz not good newz....specially for those who are reaching on the 21st and want to practice.....

they have to have the lab clean for Monday's clinical exam and thus they cannot give us more time to practice. The last that they can allow us is till Friday midnight.

so....better reach early if you really want to practice in their lab...

regarding the type of teeth, burs, handpieces -- what i believe and what is evident from their information packet at the bottom of the SYNOPSIS of EVENTS....is that for PRACTICE purposes....i.e b4 friday midnight....we might have to get those ourselves....like the teeth that will fit on Kilgore typodonts....burs...etc.......

and they will provide us everything that is there on their list only on the final clinical test day.....

I had called Ms Pham and she said we would be provided instruments even for practise [ as it is mentioned on the second page of the interview invitation packet.] But on another thread in this forum , 'small wonder' says she received a call from Ms Pham saying they will not be providing instruments for practise. I'm confused now!!
