Wow. I sent my $200 deposit nearly 2 weeks ago certified, and I was notified today that they didn't receive the deposit and they are withdrawing my acceptance. Anyone else have this problem with UCSF? One weird thing is, they sent me an email, but in the heading they said "Dear Paul," (which is not my name). Mixup? Should I be worried?

i would call them immediately! email and what not. just to make sure they have it and your spot is held.

don't stress (especially since their office is probably closed at the moment), just explain the situation.

Did you send your $200 deposit to the Office of Admissions and Registrar or to the Office of Admissions (S-619 or something)? You have to send it to the latter. I got it missed up too. I called to double check and they're aware of my situation. Perhaps you should do the same.

No i sent it to the Office of Admission and Registrar. They were so unclear about where to send the deposit to (there were 3 addresses total). When did you call and notify them of the situation?

I think you will be cool. They are so behind you can't lose your spot because of this.

I JUST got my packet 3 days ago and mailed in my deposit today. (Acceptance on Jan 27). I'm sure the entire office of admissions looks like Katrina just rolled up in there.

I'm cross'n my fingers for you bro. Cya in Sep!!!!!!!

just call Ms. Carmen Hernandez. you have to let them know to retrieve your deposit from the OAR. nothing to worry about.

the email you got was an automated one. i got it too just now even though my situation is taken cared of.

Yeah, I just got the same email.

Just a mistake on their part.

I don't see how they are helping their 2006 entering class by giving them all heart attacks!!!

Did any of you guys get a scholarship from UCSF? I hear they give out Deans scholarships worth 10K.

no i didn't receive a scholarship..boo haha. anyways about paperwork..yea it's pretty bad. they've lost my final transcript and also my residency application once already. So i sent everything via priority mail with a tracking number ($4 to sedn the residency app..jeez). Since i live across the bay from ucsf i might as well just drive over there, drop off my paperwork in person, and have a nice lunch in sf. haha but yea just wanted to let you know that it seems like papers get mixed up/lost easily. hang in there i'm sure they wont give your spot up, especially if you called and stuff.

I called Carmen to once to let her know that my deposit was on its way. She said not to worry. They won't drop you until they get a verbal confirmation from you that you will not be attending. 👍

I hope this helps!

Hmm...got another email saying they dropped me cuz they didnt get my $. This time, it wasn't addressed to Paul.

Well, I guess I'll be a truck driver or sumpn 🙁

Same here PDizzle, got one with my name on it today. Carmen called me this morning and we worked it out though (I sent it to the wrong address, they were so damn unclear!)

i'm gonna walk my stuff up into her office and hand it to her myself when i get the packet.
