Hi guys,
My offer from UCSF is provisional. It says that it is not "final" until late summer/early fall.
Under what conditions can a provisional offer be revoked? I can think of a few right now: 1. getting below a B in your courses 2. they discovered acadmic misconduct history hidden in your student file at school 3. you get into some other crime in the meantime 4. you didn't pay the deposit.
I don't think any of these apply to me because I'm already done with school, have no blemish on my student record, and will most likely not get into any trouble. However, I'm still worried in case SOMETHING goes wrong. What could it be? Also, for those of you who were admitted on Dec 1, is your status still 'provisional' right now?
Now, the deadline for people to give up multiple deposits is in April. UCSF says the offer won't be "final" until July/Aug/Sept 2012. So, a typical student would be forced to give up seats in other (backup) schools before finding out whether UCSF's admission is final or not? Am I missing something here?
Thanks,
C
