Hi guys. This question is for anyone who has been admitted to UCSF. I had my interview on January 11th. I was wondering, how long from after the interview did UCSF get back to you guys with an acceptance/rejection? Thanks for any input!
I interviewed on Jan. 9 and from what I remember, Ana told us the adcoms was going to meet in the middle of January to decide the 2nd round. However, Ana told me that when they met for the 1st round they ended up meeting later than was expected and it might happen again this month.
As for the amount of people they've accepted, I think they mentioned 28 have been accepted or around 1/3 of the class (I think they like it to be 80 total). They also mentioned that they do not overaccept students. What I mean is that they send out acceptance letters to only 80 people and if they get back a letter from a student saying he/she will not attend then they offer another person admission.
For what it's worth, I interviewed at UCSF on November 20 and was notified of my acceptance a few weeks later, on December 8. I believe that this was the first day of deliberation of the adcom, but I could be wrong...
