Hi all!

I was just wondering, how strict are UCLA and UCSF with their policies on the "no AP credit" rule? I know that for UCSF (could not find information on UCLA) that they accept AP credit to partially fulfill the prereqs. I have a 5 in AP Chem and that gave me a year of inorganic chem credit at my university. However, since I am just switching to predental as a rising junior and have not taken any science courses in college (am an econ major!), I don't think I will have time to go back and take one quarter of inorganic chem with lab (my school is on the quarter system)! My plan is to take organic chem this coming year, one quarter of physics with lab in the spring (I have AP credits for Physics equivalent to 2 quarters), biology next summer, then use senior year to take the other recommended/required courses such as biochem, microbio etc.
I really don't know if I will have time to go back and take inorganic chemistry for one quarter, so I was just wondering have exceptions been made at UCSF or UCLA regarding APs?

Thank you in advance for any advice!

If the schools in question are hard pressed for an econ major, they are certain to make an "exception" in your case.
