First of all, congrats to everyone who got in to UCSF. It is a great school and it is my top choice. But unfortunately, even though I interviewed in November, afew weeks ago I got the rejection letter from them. Do you think it is worth appealing? Do you know anyone who appealed and got in? Thanks.

I suppose you can send them a rejection letter, stating that you reject their offer of rejection... but that won't get you anywhere.

I was rejected too, and was pretty bummed. It's pretty late in the cycle though, with an established waitlist - I'm not sure it would really do you any good to appeal the rejection. At best, give your interviewer a call (if they gave you their business card), and see what shortcomings there were in your application to try and rectify them. At worst, you know where things were not in your favor and at best, you just showed them you are still interested in the school and want to be a more competitive applicant. Before you decide anything though, take a few days to chill out - being too aggressive might just antagonize them.
